Expertise: Professor Garven is a groundwater geologist who uses mathematical models to understand hydrologic, thermal, chemical, and mechanical processes in the Earth's crust. Ore deposits, petroleum reservoirs, and diagenetic fluids have all been the objects of his research. Grant's work has spanned the globe – from North American hydrologic systems, to work in the Red Sea and Middle East, the Rhine graben, and Australia.
