Expertise: Our lab is interested in the role of the extracellular matrix during early embryonic development. In particular, we use the model nematode worm Caenorhabditis elegans to investigate assembly of the trilaminar eggshell and permeability barrier using fluorescence microscopy, biochemistry, molecular biology and genetic approaches.
