My research interests are in the fields of meteorology and climatology. My main interests are with severe weather in all forms. In particular I focus on land-surface properties that lead to enhancements of storms and also analyzing long-term climatology of severe weather events. I also conduct research on teleconnections and their role on precipitation and severe weather patterns. Lastly, I also am involved with a research group with colleagues at other universities examining non-convective high wind events (NCWE) associated with passing mid-latitude cyclones in the United States and around the world.
