The Tufts University Department of Biology seeks to hire a part-time, instructor to teach an upper-level course in the 2024-2025 academic year (preferably fall) geared toward students in our MS program. The course should focus on the molecular mechanisms of disease and therapeutic development in an area aligned with the instructor’s professional and scholarly experience. We are particularly interested in topics related to cancer (esp. immune therapies), neurology, autoimmunity, and metabolic disorders, although other disease areas will also be considered.
The course should be taught in person and be accessible by students with a broad range of undergraduate biology backgrounds in molecular biology, cell biology, physiology, and/or genetics.
Qualifications
The candidate must have an advanced degree or equivalent industry experience; PhD or MD is preferred. We will give preference to applicants who have previously demonstrated successful teaching in university or industry programs, as well as commitment to developing inclusive and equitable classroom spaces.
