Job Description
Stevens Institute of Technology is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Summer Instructor for the Mathematics Immersion Program (MIP)—a three-week, academically rigorous summer program designed for New Jersey undergraduates who are recipients of the New Jersey Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF) grant. The program provides students with advanced academic preparation and enriching social experiences to help strengthen their foundation in mathematics and critical thinking.
- Submit a detailed curriculum and course outline to the MIP Coordinator.
- Provide the Program Coordinator with results of the assessments within 24 hours of their administration.
- Offer students consistent and meaningful feedback and assign challenging homework exercises.
- Select students to receive Outstanding Performance and Most Improved Performance awards at the Program’s closing ceremony.
- Submit completed evaluation forms to the Program Coordinator.

Compensation Range
In compliance with the New Jersey Wage Transparency Act, the semi-monthly base range for this position is Total of $2,000 for 3 week program. This range represents the University’s good faith estimate of possible compensation at the time of posting. Stevens Institute of Technology determines compensation based on factors including the position’s scope and responsibilities, the candidate’s experience, education, skills, internal equity, market data, and organizational considerations. The final salary will be set considering departmental budget, qualifications, and relevant credentials. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes additional forms of compensation, such as incentives, stipends, or other applicable pay components.
