The Information Technology (IT) Program at the University of Missouri-Columbia invites two well qualified candidates to apply for the position(s) of Instructor, or Assistant/Associate/Full Teaching Professor or Assistant/Associate/Full Professor of Professional Practice. Entry rank is determined by experience and degree level. These non-tenure track (NTT) positions will offer up to four face-to-face and/or online courses a semester. Some courses may be proposed and developed based on expertise area.

We are excited to invite candidates with industry experience who can work effectively in a team environment with students and faculty, and to teach IT and emerging technology courses to build upon our current program. We seek faculty to share their educational knowledge and industry experiences in cybersecurity, systems administration, and Unix operating systems. This individual will head the cybersecurity certificate track within the program, engage students in the cybersecurity organization, and provide additional learning materials for the program to integrate principles throughout the program. We seek an additional faculty to share foundational knowledge and industry experience in Python coding, user experience, and current web (front and back end) design and development. This individual will have significant impact on entry-level students, and should thrive in a both creative and structured environment, while promoting student engagement and success.

Duties include teaching, developing and /or updating course content at the undergraduate level, engagement with student organizations, and serving on appointed departmental/college/university committees.
