Job Description
The Strome College of Business at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia, invites highly qualified applicants for a tenure track assistant professor position in the Department of Information Technology and Decision Sciences beginning July 25, 2024.
Applicants must have:
- The potential to publish in high-quality journals.
- The ability to teach a variety of IT courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary business issues.
Minimum Qualifications - Education or training
Applicants must have earned a Ph.D. degree with an emphasis in information technology or a related field from an AACSB-accredited institution. Ph.D. student applicants in an All-but-Dissertation (ABD) status with an expected completion date on or before July 24, 2024 will be considered.

Preferred Qualifications
We prefer candidates who have:
- A PhD in Business Administration.
- Published articles in high-quality journals.
- The ability to teach a variety of courses in the technical aspects of information technology such as: AI, machine learning, and programming languages.
- A strong academic background, the commitment to excellence in graduate and undergraduate business education, and the potential to expand student interest in business problem-solving and IT business applications using cutting-edge technologies.
