    The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Auburn University seeks an Assistant Professor with research specialization in Partial Differential Equations with connections to data science, biology, and other applied sciences such as physics, ecology, as well as engineering. The successful candidate shall have interests that complement and enhance the department’s research strengths in the field. The Assistant Professor will conduct an independent research program and teach at both the undergraduate and graduate level.

    The department has a PhD program and various MS programs, including a new MS program in Data Science. It has over 50 mathematicians/statisticians and more than 120 graduate students engaged in research in a wide variety of areas in mathematics and statistics. Auburn University’s strong research programs in a variety of areas present many opportunities for interdisciplinary research and for participation in its various multidisciplinary programs.
