    The Department of Chemistry in the College of Arts Sciences at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY seeks to fill a tenure-eligible faculty position at the Assistant Professor level with expertise in the field of Radioanalytical/Nuclear Chemistry. This is a 9-month position in the regular title series with an anticipated start date of January 1, 2025. We seek candidates with significant research expertise in the use of a Van de Graaff accelerator and neutron-induced reactions for the study of nuclear structure and characterization of materials used for construction of nuclear reactors, areas that align with the UK Research Priority Areas in Energy and/or Materials Science. The ability to collaborate with other researchers in Chemistry, Chemical & Materials Engineering and the Center for Applied Energy Research is highly desirable. Teaching responsibilities for this position will involve instruction at the undergraduate and graduate level in analytical, general, and radioanalytical/nuclear chemistry.


    A Ph.D. in Chemistry or a closely related field is required.
