    We are seeking a motivated Project Officer to contribute to a research project investigating two key Zika membrane proteins. This role will involve protein purification and performing basic biochemical and biophysical analyses to characterize the proteins' purity and oligomerization properties.


     


    Key Responsibilities:




    • Purify membrane proteins from E. coli or other hosts.




    • Use of chromatography techniques for protein purification.




    • Use of gels to assess purity.




    • Conduct basic biochemical assays in detergent or liposomes.




    • Oversee laboratory administration tasks, including safety compliance and documentation.




     


    Job Requirements:




    • BSc in Biological Sciences or related field




    • Strong motivation and passion for research




    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English - essential for data analysis and communication with stakeholders




    • Ability to work collaboratively within a team
