    The Department of Mathematics in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky invites applications for two full-time Lecturer positions to begin August 1, 2025. The selected candidates will be appointed to a 9-month, non-tenure eligible faculty position for an initial two-year period that has the potential for renewal and for promotion to Senior Lecturer after five years. Duties will include instruction, some graduate mentoring, and departmental service. The department is seeking applicants who intend to establish a long-term teaching career within the Department. Evidence of teaching excellence is valued as are the administrative, organizational, and mentoring skills required to teach and coordinate large classes.


    Lecturers are vital to the teaching mission of the Mathematics department. Lecturers will teach primarily first year mathematics courses as well as some second- and third-year courses Additionally, Lecturers will normally provide instructional leadership and support including course coordination, curriculum development, overseeing the math tutoring center, assisting with instructional technology, among others.


    A Ph.D. degree in mathematics or a closely related field by the time of the appointment is required.
