    The Department of Plant Biology at the University of Vermont (UVM) invites applications for two, full-time (9-month), non-tenure track Lecturer positions starting August 2024. We are looking for faculty members with demonstrated expertise in a plant-related discipline and potential for outstanding and innovative teaching, especially for first-year students. Teaching expectations for each lecturer are 4-6 courses per year; these will likely include introductory-level courses in botany and general biology for life science majors and non-majors. We encourage creativity in our instructional faculty and the potential exists to design new courses. Responsibilities also include undergraduate advising and service at the department and college level.

    QUALIFICATIONS 


    Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree in the life sciences, related to plant biology. Applicants should have a demonstrated potential for excellent teaching and mentoring, strong scientific skills, and a dedication to innovative teaching and professional development.
