    Job Description Summary


    The Sustainable Bio-Based Materials Lab in the College of Forestry, Wildlife and Environment (CFWE) at Auburn University is seeking a qualified individual for a 12-months postdoctoral fellowship. This is a limited-term, non-tenure track position with anticipated funding for 1 year. Continued employment is contingent on availability of funding and satisfactory performance. The individual in this position will be working on the development of bio-based composites for additive manufacturing and also on fire performance testing and method development.


    Minimum Qualifications


    Candidates must possess a Ph.D. in wood engineering, chemical engineering or materials science at time of employment. The individual should have skills in analytical testing of materials, wood composite manufacture, testing of mechanical and physical properties. The successful candidate must meet eligibility requirements for work in the United States at the time the appointment is scheduled to begin and continue working legally for the term of employment.


    Desired Qualifications


    Experience with fire testing methods, polymers-wood particles composites processing via extrusion including proficient knowledge in FTIR, mechanical and thermal testing.
