    The School of Biological Sciences (SBS), part of the College of Science, was established in 2002 with a mission to advance biological and biomedical sciences. At SBS, our research spans various areas, including infectious diseases, immunology, neurodegenerative diseases, telomere biology, and genome function. Over the years, SBS has attracted talented individuals from around the world and Singapore to join as scientific leaders and researchers.

     

    A Research Fellow position is available in the laboratory of Associate Professor Miao Yansong, SBS.

     

    Key Responsibilities:




    • Utilize biophysical and biochemical techniques to investigate molecular assembly both in vitro and in vivo, both in solution and on artificial lipid bilayers.




    • Conduct interdisciplinary research on Phase separation in cell signaling and sensing, ranging from fundamental to innovative technology.




    • Research involves the application of biophysics, biochemistry, and cell biology.





     

    Job Requirements:




    • PhD in Biophysics with a focus on imaging techniques and lipid biology




    • Proficient in molecular characterization for both proteins and lipids




    • Strong background in biophysics




    • Excellent protein biochemistry skills are desirable, but can be acquired through training in the laboratory
