Individuals from historically underrepresented groups and all those who share our commitment to inclusivity and passion for the strength of our diversity are strongly encouraged to apply.

The primary duty for this position is the instruction of our departmental Geomatics courses. Geomatics is a student-centric department. Other skills such as experience in community service projects and contract work would also be desirable. The Geomatics Department has start-up funding to further the applied research interests of the successful candidate.

The BS GIS and BS Surveying options are now offered fully online as of fall 2023. The department’s national advertising has shown promising results. A state-wide Surveying Taskforce recently initiated efforts to recruit surveying students to address the critical shortage of land surveyors. Enrollment growth offers the potential for additional tenure-track faculty positions.
