I joined for Master Degree (Botany) during 1980 at Safia College, affiliated to Barkatullah University (Former Bhopal University), Bhopal with specialization in Cyto-Genetics, Plant Breeding & Biometry. My Post graduation involved number of Botanical tours/visits to various part of the M.P. Those days were memorable. First time in my life I started thinking about doing research. I am thankful to my senior Dr. Sivaprasad, who induced research sprit in me.
My Ph.D Work
That was an adventurous experience. I have joined the Department of Botany, S.V. University College, Tirupati during 1983 under the guidance of Prof. P. Gopala Rao, I would still say, joining in the department of Botany is my dream world, where I learnt, how to do research. An excellent experience for 3 years with Prof. P. Gopala Rao. Thesis Title: “Ethnobotanical survey and phytopharmaco-chemical Screening of selected medicinal plants of Chittoor Dist. A.P.” I started investigations on Ethnobotany of Yanadhi tribes, I want to prove the tribal claims, which is one of the difficult challenges, I had faced during my research. Studies on preliminary screening showed interesting activities, pawing a way to isolate biological active molecules. I had the opportunity to work under the noble guidance of Prof. B.N.Dhawan at Central Drug Research Institute (CDRI), Lucknow to study of acute toxicity and Pharmacology of natural products and I had isolated and characterized Pharmacologically active compounds from plants at National Botanical Research Institute (NBRI), Lucknow under the supervision of Dr. S.K.Nigam.
PES College, Bangalore ( 1986-1989)
I joined as a Lecturer in Biology at PES College, Bangalore during 1986; I had the opportunity to improve my teaching skills on medicinal plants and had satisfaction with my job as I taught B.Pharma and D.Pham students.
S.V. University, Tirupati ( 1989-till date )
I joined as a Assistant Professor, in the Department of Botany, S.V. University during 1989. Involved in teaching, Algae, Gymnosperms, Ethnobotany and Genetics for M.Sc, students. I got promoted as Senior Assistant Professor during 1994. During this period I actively involved in the preparation of syllabus for M.Sc, semester system and designed new course curriculum for P.G. Diploma in Plant Drugs. Started guiding students, leading for the award of M.Phill and Ph.D. degrees. Presently I am working as Professor, in the department of Botany, Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati.
Computer training:
acquiesce with computers from 1984, my interest and need made me to work hard and learn to use Computer. Now I can handle up to date Software for the scientific purposes and got PG Diploma in computer applications.
Karate-do training :
I have undergone vigorous Karate-do training under the guidance of Renshi R.V.T. Mani, the founder of Budokai, Madras during 1977-1982. I was awarded Ist degree black belt in 1983 from Renshi H.Gamini Soysa of Okainawa Karate-Do of Colombo, diploma in karate-do in 1984 from the great grandmaster Dr. Rod Sacharnoski Soke of the world karate union of USA, IInd degree black belt in 1984 from Renshi H. Gamini Soysa of Sri Lanka, another 2nd degree black belt in 1985 from the great grandmaster Hanshi Shugoro Nakazato (10th don red belt) of Okinawa of Japan and 3rd degree black belt in 1994. I have extensive experience in teaching, coaching and guiding students all over India.
Yoga meditation training
I started practicing yoga meditation from 1974. Actually I stated Yoga and meditation to get more concentration in my Karate –do practice and I have another benefit i.e get-red of body pains due to breathing exercise. There I tried to meditate regularly morning and evening as I thought that that this is the correct age for practice Yoga and Meditation. Initially I had many doubts about these things like, how we can get the thoughtlessness? in front of a picture.....
Once I met with my very close family friend Mr. M.Vijaya Saradhi and he took me to Sri Sri Sri Guru Viswa Sphoorthi (1982) at Gudivada A.P. India. Guru clarified all my doubts regarding Yoga, meditation, vibrations in a scientific way and I decide to dedicate my life for the spirituality. From that day onwards I was fully prepared to practice meditation regularly. I used to sit in front of photograph of Guru and I close my eyes and meditate regularly. Meditation was so deep that I didn’t want to open my eyes. After that I felt very light also I felt, as if I got the answer to all my questions. I used to feel the vibrations and find number of physical changes, which are the evidences of getting awakening state effortlessly and spontaneously with the grace of Guru Viswa Sphoorthi. Really, Yoga is the only way to experience this joy. Actually through external means what we get is just happiness or pleasure but what we get through meditation is pure divine Joy.
