Expertise: I am interested in botanical diversity of all kinds. My research has centered upon phylogenetics of the liverworts (Marchantiophyta) and their fungal endophytes. Currently, I focus upon teaching, and strive to foster appreciation and understanding of plant form, function, and systematics in the classroom, in the field, and in students’ daily lives.
