Expertise: The research in my lab focuses on neuroplasticity, that is, the capacity of the adult brain to change in response to behavior and experience. We concentrate primarily on three aspects of neuroplasticity; reactive events that occur after injury, the aged brains decreased capacity for change, and the generation of new neurons in the adult brain.
