Expertise: I am interested in understanding the basic processes defining the spatial distribution and range limits of populations and incorporating this understanding in conservation and management of biodiversity. My research is not restricted to any particular taxa or region but I have mainly worked with terrestrial birds and marine invertebrates in Mexico and the Pacific coast.
